The 19th regular meeting of the Secretaries of the Security Council of the member and observer countries of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization was held in Astana, Republic of Kazakhstan on April 2-3, 2024. Representatives led by A. Byambajargal, secretary of the National Security Council of Mongolia, participated in the meeting. Secretary of the National Security Council of Mongolia, A. Byambajargal, in his speech at the general meeting, expressed his position that "Mongolia adheres to the policy of being an observer of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization and actively participates in the multifaceted measures of security cooperation implemented by the organization."

              In addition, during this meeting, the representatives of Mongolia held a bilateral meeting with the heads of the Security Council of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Russian Federation, the Republic of Belarus, and the Republic of Uzbekistan. The representatives exchanged views on regional and international security issues and expansion, development of economic cooperation with the member countries of the organization.
