The Executive Office of the Council is responsible for coordinating implementation of the mandate and responsibilities of the chair, members and the Secretary of the National Security Council and activities aimed at ensuring national security and facilitating the development of an integrated policy.

Maintenance of the independence, sovereignty, economic independence, sustainable development, territorial integrity and inviolability of its borders, protect and develop foreign policy, Mongolian history, language, culture, customs and cultural heritage with respect to national interests, provide directions to government institutions, and monitor their implementation.
