Executive Office of the Council
The Executive Office of the Council has the functions to support the members of the Council to fulfill their duties in ensuring national security. It also has duties to organize and coordinate inter- and intra-government institutions in implementing national security policy and monitor their activities.
Globalization and newly emerging socio-economic environment are not only bringing development and growth but also creating threats and dangers. Mongolia under current circumstances, vulnerable to worldwide economic crisis, infectious disease, climate change and natural disasters takes policies based on knowledge, information and analysis with a view to determine and deal with potential risks and challenges.
The executive office, as directed by the Council, organized the drafting of a revised concept by a working group headed by the Secretary of the NSC and consisted of the NSC Executive Office staff, NGOs, citizens, intellectuals and Parliament members. Thus a new Concept was adopted by the Parliament on July 25, 2010.
