Security and Foreign Policy Council
By initiative of President of Mongolia Ts.Elbegdorj Security and Foreign Policy Council was established near Institute of Strategic Studies on April 15th, 2010.
The purpose of the Council is to support decision makers in security and foreign policy issues and educate general public and government organizations in security and foreign policy issues.
The Council consists of former Presidents, Prime Ministers, Foreign Ministers, Defense Ministers, diplomats, academics and other intellectuals.
Information and Analytical Council
Information and Analytical Council is in charge of collecting necessary information from heads of organizations in charge of national security matters, processing the information and delivering the conclusion to the President and members of National Security Council.
Secretary of National Security Council is head of Information and Analytical Council and director of Information and Analytical Service is secretary of this Council.
Members of Information and Analytical Council are representatives of organizations in charge of ensuring national security and members are approved by the President upon National Security Council Secretary’s recommendations.
The Information and Analytical Council provides necessary information to the members of National Security Council according to the specified laws and regulations.
Also the Information and Analytical Council hears and makes conclusions about activities of central and regional governmental organizations in compliance with the National Security Concept and recommendations issued by National Security Council.
